a really cool knitting project

i stumbled upon FLOCKS, a very thoughtful line of knits and website, and loved this photo of a giant handknit rug being made.

endlessly experimenting

I still want to use this blog as a place to share patterns that I create with other knitters and crafters who may look on. Although I don't have precise patterns written out for any of the bags I have posted here, I would be more than willing to type one up for anyone who asks! Even though I freestyled most of the bags I recall how I did it and, most importantly, how to do it again.

Here's a glimpse of the 5 bags I have completed in the past 3 months. There's another, a sixth, that is not shown because I feel it is hideous both in the felting (got very very pilly in the washing machine when the garment bag ripped) as well as in style (the handles don't really match up.) But these are the ones I do like and hope to make more in similar styles and colors. All of the designs are original and made from hours of endless experimentation. If you are interested in a paticular pattern let me know and I will tell or email you about how I made it!

buttercup bag.

Happy Spring!

Maybe it's been the warm weather, or anxiety from my move, but in the past week and a half I managed to stitch up two new bags! One is the golden felted tote you see pictured below, the other is a smaller grey and blue purse that is oooooh so cute. I will add pictures -- and more bags -- soon!

I am really excited to bring together a collection of all the bags I have made and have them all for sale. I am currently designing labels and tags but really need a cute name to tie it all together. I have a few in mind already, but lets see if anyone else has ideas...

ideas, anyone?
